Mr. Guerrero8th Grade LiteracyThroughout his educational career, Mr. Guerrero has worked primarily in the Little Village and Brighton Park neighborhoods of Chicago. Initially, he started his career at Daniel J. Corkery Elementary School and has now transitioned over to Brighton Park Elementary School. During his tenure at the aforementioned, he has always taught literacy (Reading / Writing) to the middle school grades. Mr. Guerrero believes that in order for our students to achieve in school and life, we must equip them with the skills to be critical thinkers and problem solvers within each content. In regards to literacy, he knows that it is imperative that each student is capable of analyzing texts, synthesizing through sources, and developing their reading levels. In doing so, our students will become life-long learners At Brighton Park Elementary School, Mr, Guerrero is currently the 8th grade literacy teacher, responsible for instructing reading, writing, and social science. He is also part of the ILT, which allows him to work with his colleagues to support the vision and mission of Brighton Park. Mr. Guerreo loves competition and playing sports, basketball and baseball in particular. He also has a love/hate relationship with Fantasy Football and look forward to beating out his colleagues this year in our Brighton Park League! |
