Ms. Wilson grew up and went to school in Downers Grove, a suburb of Chicago. She has taught all over the city, on the South, North, and West sides. She has even spent time working as a nanny in Switzerland!
If you ask Ms. Wilson about her role as a teacher she will tell you that everyone has the potention to be great, she is just the facilitator. To quote Jane Goodall, “The least I can do is speak out for those who cannot speak out for themselves”.
Ms. Wilson teaches a wide range of students at BPES, including those with disabilities. She loves the inclusive setting and acceptance of all people. Tolerance is of utmost importance to her and she promotes that at Brighton Park.
Ms. Wilson is a responsible citizen of the earth, which means she cares for the planet by reducing, resusing, recycling, and limited her consumption. Ms. Wilson leads BPES in a gardening and recycling campaign! In her free time she loves to travel, learn new things, visit family and friends, and play with her dog, Deja.
