Ms. Moorhouse

5th/6th Grade Math

Ms. Moorhouse attended California State University Fullerton for her Bachelors degree. She then attended California State University Long Beach for her Masters Degree in Curriculum Instruction. Ms. Moorhouse later received her Administrative Credential from CSULB as well. She has taught in California, Texas, and finally here in Chicago.

Ms. Moorhouse’s goal is to help kids feel that they do have what it takes to succeed in math. Making mistakes is an opportunity to learn and reflect on how to think differently. Her philosophy is that once a student can tap into that individual determination to succeed, to think outside of the box, there will hardly be a challenge that will thwart their efforts to advance academically.

Ms. Moorhouse LOVES Brighton Park Elementary School so much. The people here have become her second family. She is so thankful to be the Bilingual 5/6th grade math teacher.
Outside work, Ms. Moorhouse loves Zumba dancing and does it twice a week. On the weekend, she enjoys spending time with her friends, brunches, and festivals where food is involved.
