Ms. Sitzes

7/8th Grade Science

Mrs. Sitzes attended St. Xavier University for her undergraduate degree and Loyola University for her Masters degree. Mrs. Sitzes has worked at Nathan Davis Elementary from 2005 to 2007. Mrs. Sitzes has been at Brighton Park Elementary School since the fall of 2007 till present. She has been teaching middle school Science for twelve years.

If you ask Ms. Sitzes, she will say that education is important because it equips us with the expertise that is needed in helping us realize our individual interests, and develops who we are and highlights our personal career goals. She believes that when teaching students, it is important to develop a curriculum that peaks the interests of students. The curriculum has to be relevant and provide the opportunity for students inquiry, student input and an opportunity to generate questions.

Ms. Sitzes teaches 7th and 8th grade Science. Her favorite thing about Brighton Park Elementary is the caring community of staff and family.  Ms. Sitzes is married with two children; she loves to travel, read, and go to concerts!
