Rolando Perez

 Student Climate Coordinator/ Dean

Picture
Picture
Originally from Chicago and a graduate of Chicago Public Schools. Graduated from Ashford University in San Diego. I have been a Health and Wellness consultant for the past 20 years. Helping people achieve short and long term goals has always been a motivation.

Education is an opportunity to grow everyday. When Rolando graduated from college, he knew that was just one component of his lifetime education. He has been fortunate enough to attend several trainings and seminars that keep allowing him to learn more and acquire more tools as well.

Rolando is the Dean of Restorative Practices and Culture and Climate Coordinator. He works closely with Administration, staff, and students to maintain a balance of positive relationships in Brighton Park. He helps coordinate Parent Patrol, manages recess, safety and security, and he will be teaching a newly acquired Internet Safety Class this year for middle school. He is also a Liason for families in need as well. He has a referral process that gives families an opportunity to improve their lives through resources.

Rolando loves to take Road Trips all over the U.S. He is currently planning on renting an RV and driving to Seattle where his sister lives and then driving up into Canada. Spending time with family is the best part of life he says. There is nothing better than exploring life through the roads of the world. He is also a die-hard sports fan. He loves the Bears, Cubs and Bulls.

Outside the room

Rolando is from Little Village in Chicago. Rolando heals the mind body and spirit at all times through meditation and good energy. He believes Talking is a lot more powerful than we know. Rolando quotes “We use words to change our lives everyday, so why not use these powerful tools to change how we feel inside and out?”
